Full house, twos over aces - the winning hand for Casillan
Vancouver Players go out for McGowen's Birthday. Drinks and merriment on Dave's 29th at the G-Room on Granville Street.
We head out to the Edgewater Casino to play Caribbean Stud Poker.
So the posse of McGowen, Rae, Milchard, Berner, Gladstone and Casillan, all go try and win some money.
Caribbean Stud was a bust. We all miss out on the $35, 000.00 plus jackpot.
We scrape by and Casillan hits trip Queens and makes a bit of dough.
Later, Casillan and Berner plays some 1- 2 Texas Hold'em (no limit ) with $100 buy in's.
The winning hand for Casillan :
I'm holding Ace, Two off suit. I call.
Berner folds.
Two players.
On the flop: Queen, Jack and Two.
First bet is a $40 dollar bet and over to Casillan, who bets last of the two remaining players, head to head action.
Casillan calls the $40.
The turn ; a Two.
Player X (about to be raped) goes all- in with the rest of his chips.
Casillan calls.
River card ; an Ace.
Casillan with a Full House, wins the pot and doubles his money and then some.
The moral of the story...If and when one has a killer winning hand in Texas Hold'en in a casino, have a Vancouver Player playing to witness the carnage.
See y'all at the next poker game.
